Tetra Pak printing is an intaglio method of printing where marks are made into a plate (Tetra Pak) with an etching needle or small sections of the card are physically removed.
Your plate will be inked using intaglio etching inks which will be brushed into the lower layer and the higher surface with be wiped clean to create highlights and mid tones.
Plates will be run through a press with dampened paper, enabling you to create a small edition of prints. It is a fun and expressive method of working.
No previous printmaking experience is needed and this workshop will also suit printmakers looking to explore a new technique.
We will be joined by artist and maker Liz Wellby, who lives and works on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire. With over 30 years experience teaching and tutoring, and a particular interest in sculpture and printing, Liz will guide and support you throughout the workshop.
This workshop is suitable for a range of abilities and creative experiences.
Please bring along: an apron and your lunch.
The workshop will include materials and use of equipment, refreshments served throughout the day; runs from 10 - 4pm and costs £99
