Inspiration can be found along the banks of the River Meon that runs close to the Long Barn, where geese, water fowl and swans swim. Or you may decide to bring along particular images of garden or domestic birds that you wish to sculpt. If you attended the half day’s workshop in March, you may wish to create profile sculptures of dogs and sheep.
This full days workshop will be run by artist and maker Liz Wellby; with a degree in sculpture and over 25 years teaching and tutoring experience, Liz will guide you through a number of stages, enabling you to create your own small scale sculptures. Your initial ideas will be sketched and explored through collage and developed using fine, flexible wire.
Please bring along: A6 images/photos of wild, domestic or garden birds in profile, plus A6 images/photos of dogs and sheep in profile.
The workshop is suitable for both beginners and those who attended the half day workshop in March, for a maximum of 10 people, running from 10 - 4pm and costs £75.
All materials and equipment will be provided; refreshments and delicious homemade cakes will be served in the barn. Please bring your own lunch.
